Using the Delayed Email Delivery Option

This week's tip on technology focuses on utilizing a little known option within your Outlook email menu. A special thank you to Grady Taylor from TriMega for this tip. Grady uses this option for emails that he delegates to others and then wants to follow up with those individuals at a later date. Here's how...

1. Compose an email that you would like to send at a later date. Example: Hi Sally- I'm just following up to see where we are with the UPS 12345 tracking document request. Please respond by this afternoon.

2. Once you are done composing the email, click on the Options tab in the toolbar.

3. The Message Options menu will pop up and in the middle section under Delivery Options, you can choose when you want that email sent.

By utilizing this delayed email option, you can delete the original email out of your Inbox or move to a folder, also removing it from the Inbox.
