Improve Your LinkedIn Productivity
If you're like many, you may not have jumped on the social networking bandwagon yet - fearing that it might be too cumbersome or time consuming. Today's weekly tip offers some simple ways to save time and improve your effectiveness navigating the networking site LinkedIn:
1. Your Profile: Aim for 100% - On the right of the profile page, look for your profile completeness percentage. Make it your goal to reach 100% for maximum effectiveness.
2. Utilize Your Connections - Once you've invited someone to connect with you, look at their contact list to see if you have mutual connections.
3. Commit to Consistent Activity - If you are in an industry where you are developing business or marketing yourself, commit to Network Activity updates at least once a week.
4. Join Groups - Find out valuable information from others in similar industries by joining groups. When you join the group, make sure you adjust your settings so that you only receive digests from the group infrequently or not at all, so they don't fill up your email Inbox.
